Hey, badass, happy Wednesday. And welcome back to the Badass Empires podcast, where my mission is pretty much to download. This seven-figure entrepreneur online digital CEO brain of mine one episode at a time. Part of this is understanding my big lessons and my big convictions in business that have come from straight-up cold, hard experience, right?
[00:00:26] The Unconventional World of Online Entrepreneurship
This is a crazy world, this online entrepreneurship online business model kind of world. It's all very new still. And as much as you might look around now that you're interested in the topic and see social media accounts and coaches and course creators and freelancers everywhere, and it's because you're interested in it, okay, we are still very much in the phase of early adoption, and so much so that you can't go to university and learn this stuff, like of course there are masters in entrepreneurship and things like that, but they're very traditional, still very much focused on The four p's of marketing framework and like interesting things I'm sure and entrepreneurship and innovation I don't want to drag universities like of course there's going to be some principles that are interesting in there but when it comes to actually personal brand based expertise based knowledge-based service.
Based businesses using social media growing audiences developing online course topics like it's just not something that you can go and learn right now and I don't know if they could ever keep up institutions like that traditional academic institutions the stuff that comes from a place of. This sort of deep understanding of business and marketing and human psychology grows over time.
It's something that you will, you'll learn over time applied to a world, a very fast-moving world and a very unique, random world that academia simply can't keep up with.
[00:01:58] Six Things I Would Never Do as a Multimillion-Dollar CEO
It's something that's anchored in And doing the thing so I'm excited to get into this episode in particular because we're going to be covering six things that I would just absolutely never do as a multimillion-dollar CEO as someone who has made well over three million dollars in revenue over the past five years.
Doing this thing running my business on purpose with integrity doing things in a way that feels good to me feels right to me. These are just things that I would never do to make that kind of money because there are a lot of people making money online and they will tell you that this is the one way that will work for you too or you know follow my road map and that kind of thing and I'm here to tell you that there are no have to's.
so much. In business, there are certainly no magic pills. There is certainly not one way that you can make this kind of money. There are lots of different ways that we can make money online. And these are the things that you will never, ever catch me doing to get there. Even though. Some people have used these techniques and strategies and they may have made some cash out of them, right?
I don't want you falling into a trap of using outdated, unaligned, and sometimes borderline unethical advice just to make money online. In Badass Empire's land, we are doing it in a way that works for your values. Lines to how you want to feel running your business and with the thought in mind and the memory in mind that this is your business and you get to do it your way.
And we never forget that this is your business we want to feel good to you feel like it's something that comes naturally to you because it's anchored in who you are your purpose in your life experiences and what you want to create in this world. And that's our standard. That's the standard that we are always aiming to reach.
So this is my list of what you will not see me doing in business and why because this is going to help you to reflect on what your values are, where your boundaries are, and Maybe help to challenge some of the things that you thought you had to do on social media or in business to see success. But actually, you don't.
[00:04:25] Avoiding Cold DMs: A Personal Anecdote
So the first thing that you will not be catching me doing is sending cold DMs. Now, I want to illustrate a situation for you here. I was chatting to someone in my DMs. Over on the Badass Empires DMs, there was someone interested in private coaching with me, and they were hesitating between me and another coach.
Long story short, they decided to sign with the other coach because the other coach had a money-back guarantee. It's easy for me to say this is a red flag because I've been in the game for so long, but this is a red flag. Because money-back guarantees are just inherently a little bit Okay, what is it going to take to get this money back?
And it's it's removing this concept of radical ownership and responsibility that comes with creating your own business. There's just a lot going on even behind that phrase. It's so charged to me. That's a whole other episode, I think. But they had this money-back guarantee, right? So it's essentially You invest, I think it was 9, 000 to work with me.
And I, the guarantee is that essentially you will make this money back within, I think it was three months. And if you haven't made that money back by the end of the three months, you get to stay in my container. You get to keep coaching with me until you do essentially. And the thing is that straight away, I was like, I bet I know how this is going to work.
Because, I could be like, yeah, get your money back within three months, but I'm not in that business. I'm in the business of, yeah, helping you make incredible money and helping you to make, 10, 20, 30 times what you invest with me. But it's going to be in a way where it's we are building a long-term sustainable business model.
That's going to work. We're building foundations that are actually. Allowing you to rinse and repeat over the long term, as I have over the past many years to keep long-term venue stable and coming in. And when I heard about this sort of gimmicky setup, I was like, I bet they're gonna get you sending cold DMs and cold DMs is essentially where you are reaching out to people you do not know.
On social media in the DMs and the direct messages, so it could be Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, whatever it is, cold emailing, whatever it is, contacting people who don't know you, haven't heard of you, and striking up these kind of fake ass conversations hey girl, I see you're on a career right now, are you looking for a change?
This kind of thing. I get them all the time from business coaches hey Rosie, Just curious, I see you've got some funnels in place, but are they making you 100k plus per month? Love what you do. So anyway, you've got cold DMs going on, right? And I anyway could smell it from a mile away. And I've been in touch with this person who's, by the way, miserable with this coach.
And they are having her send 50-plus cold messages per day With these outdated dusty, random scripts that she has to follow. And honestly, how does that make you feel? Like, how does that make you feel tracking down strangers, trying to elicit conversations and business, and interrupting their day to get a sale?
Like I can't think of anything worse. And the worst part of all is that this Person who was interested in working with me she didn't know her niche right that's why she wanted to work with me she didn't know what her purpose was she didn't know her niche and essentially this coach. Has forced her to become a business coach and keep in mind this person didn't know her niche and has never signed a paid client.
Forced her into the business coaching niche because I assume they think that's the most profitable niche or where it's most likely to tap into I guess the curiosity or desperation of people or whatever it is. And is having her send out these cold messages. Now, we're well over the three-month mark.
This person has not signed a single client and yet they are, can you imagine how that would destroy? At least it would for me, my confidence, my sense of integrity, my sense of value, chasing up people with these fake ass scripts. And the imposter syndrome would just be like a fire alarm going off in my head.
I just, couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. And. Essentially, she's yeah, but my coach told me that I just had to be two steps ahead of someone to be able to coach them on a topic. And I'm like, yeah, but you've just told me that you're sending thousands of cold DMs. You've had 17 sales calls.
Not one of them has converted because you don't have expertise. You don't have a story behind you. What are your two steps ahead? And she's I've grown on social media before. It's okay, cool. So if you've grown to a few thousand on social media, maybe you could focus on learning about that, getting more proven results, and starting to teach that, but you're not a business, coach, right?
It's just the whole thing is so scammy, so gross. And my big lesson here is. You will not catch me sending cold DMs to anyone. Why? My big belief in business is all around magnetic messaging, having strong messaging that resonates with people, speaks to them, and makes them feel seen and heard and understood because you know so who you are.
And then who the person is that you want to help that you create content where they find you and they come to you. It's inbound marketing, not outbound marketing. And that way, the whole ripple effect of being able to sell without being salesy, because. People found you first and they resonate with who you are and it's like the selling happens because they just genuinely like you and want to work with you versus this forced conversation where you're playing on people's fears you just won't catch me spending my time hunting people down.
That's how I see it. They will come to me and they will come into my community naturally. I will attract them in because. They are picking up what I'm putting down and they are like-minded people. And we start from that basis.
[00:10:39] The Pitfalls of Relying on Paid Ads
The second thing you will never catch me doing in my business is relying on paid ads.
Keyword relying on paid ads. Now, never say never. Might I use paid ads one day? Sure. Perhaps. I have really strong high-converting funnels in place. It could happen. Okay. And I've tried paid ads before a few times. I'll tell you a little bit more about that, but out of over 3 million in revenue, maybe a few thousand have come from paid ads from these trials of paid ads, right?
We're talking about like 99. 999 percent of my revenue is purely free organic marketing. And I dabbled in paid ads because I guess I bought into Kool-Aid a little bit to supercharge your sales and, get off the content hamster wheel and la all that kind of stuff, why not compliment your efforts, your marketing efforts with paid ads?
And I'm like, okay, cool. Let's give this a go. Now I tried twice with two different leading experts, Facebook ads managers for about four to six months each time. And what I found is that because my funnels are highly converting, because I have strong messaging and strong marketing psychology and strong sales systems built, it's just a matter of getting eyeballs on them at this point, they were profitable.
And that my, cost per click was profitable. So I would have a lead come into my funnel and it would cost me maybe I say 3 per person to come in and overall I might earn 5. Per lead kind of thing because of the amount of people that eventually ended up buying my products and things like that.
But then by the time I paid my ads manager their monthly retainer fee. It wasn't very interesting at all and it was taking a lot of my time and energy like checking in and having to create new ads all the time because of course they fatigue. Results and this is obviously how it works for them to make money.
More results initially and then. You start to like tap out of people in your audience and you have to get innovative and try new things and try new copy and all that kind of thing. And long story short, at the end of the day the effort and the energy going in for this minuscule return compared to my free organic marketing, I was like, honestly, what's the point?
I also saw the same pattern with these two ad managers, and this is what happened to me, and it might happen to you too. Okay. So firstly, you always need to sign up for a minimum of three months, right? They're always getting you in for these minimum three-month contracts. And the whole logic behind that is you've got to give it time.
The algorithm has to get to know you. It has to get to know, the profile of people who are clicking, blah, blah, blah. Okay, I get it. Fine. Let's sign up for a minimum of three months. And the expectation is you get a n. May not see results in those three months. So already you've got this like sunk cost going in and these ads managers are typically like good ads managers are typically 1500 to 2500 USD per month.
Okay. So there's a bit of a hard pill to swallow in terms of, okay, I may not get that money back if it's working. Okay. Or only lukewarm or even not at all. The next phase typically seems to be like, Oh, we need to test new things. We'll test new images new videos and new copywriting.
Okay. Then more times by, then it's okay, we're going to need to adjust your expectations. The Facebook ads, it's not necessarily directly about getting new sales. It's more so about the top of the funnel, which means just getting eyeballs and the isibilithe ty at the top of your funnel to get traffic essentially, but then your funnel, your marketing funnel, which is essentially.
The experience people have with you in terms of them being able to have several touch points with you, get a taster of your lead magnets, your expertise, maybe you've got a masterclass, whatever it is, and that pitch and that sales system. So that could be, the way you pitch your offer in your trainings.
It could be your email marketing, like whatever, but that. A funnel that leads people from a follower or an observer funnel follower to a buyer needs to be strong. And so what we're going to do is just focus on having your content get more views, essentially using the ads and then your funnel needs to do the heavy lifting.
And then they can say your funnel isn't working. Is it your funnel that the masterclass isn't strong enough, or have you looked at your email marketing or have you looked at, and they start making you look internally into your structure? And that is correct. And that's your organic marketing? should be working well.
Like people should be. Resonating with the marketing you're doing naturally and your funnel needs to be converting before you throw money and waste money, putting ads on it for sure. But at some point, you're all of this energy and time and money and effort I'm putting into these paid ads, I could have just been creating better organic content if it all, if all this is just for more traffic and visibility, I don't know.
It just doesn't add up to me. And if I have, 3, 000 per month to spend on something, I'd rather hire a part-time marketing profile on my team and have better content going out. Then messing around with paid ads. When I don't own the platform, the cost just keeps going up and up.
It's unpredictable. It, something might work for a while and then stop working. It was just honestly too much stress for me. I didn't enjoy that experience. And my big lesson here is rather than thinking there's this, quick way to get out of marketing and audience building, and then you can just throw money at a problem.
No, I'm about strong organic free marketing and strong funnels, sales systems, and funnels anchored in marketing psychology that work,k for you, that you have more control over versus Lighting money on fire for six months, seven months, eight months at a time, trying to get these ads working. And when they do, by the time you make three grand in profit off them, but you have to pay 2, 500 to your ads manager, has it honestly been worth it?
Now, this is my experience. Some people will say that they built their, multi-million dollar business. On the back of paid a multi-million would be how long ago was that? Because ad costs just keep rising exponentially. But my second question would be, how can you be sure that will work for me with my niche and my messaging and so on?
Maybe it would work if I were selling t shirtsMaybe The moms of ballerinas, for example, and you could find highly targeted groups and that kind of thing to push your ads in front of, but in something like I want to change careers and find more purpose already, even just in terms of tracking down that audience, it's a lot harder to get super targeted with that person.
So I do have questions on, would paid ads be the best avenue for, multiple different scenarios.
[00:17:41] Engaging with Competitors: A Gimmicky Strategy
The third thing you won't catch me doing anytime soon is engaging with creators in my niche to siphon their audience. Now, this is just advice that comes up all the time on how to grow on Instagram, how to grow on socials, and how to grow anywhere.
And I've always found it gimmicky and sleazy. What they want you to do is follow competitors, comment on their posts within the first 24 hours try to add value in the comments and, even respond to people's questions in the comments, as the expert, and so on.
Now preface, this is very different from having genuine relationships with other people I have friends in the career coaching space And I followed them and engaged with them but it doesn't have the same intention, which is trying to siphon their audience. This is what these people are wanting. So what I would do is I'd post on Badass Careers.
I post some content and I would have these like beginning career coaches adding their generic ass contributions to my content. Like great value add. However, what I would say is you need to consider the resume, and Yeah for sure. They'd add these generic ass comments on my posts.
Or they'd even start messaging people in my followers list. People who were following me. And what was funny about that is that my mum, my best friend, my friends, my acquaintances they would get messages from people being like do you know this career coach? They are trying to DM me and get me to follow their page.
So it's just super awkward and honestly just smells of desperation. I think hacks and tactics like this, okay, they might slightly help you from time to time. If you comment with some thoughtful observation or value added on 20 different posts, maybe one person could follow you over it. But it's just nothing compared to making good content.
And again, it goes back to my question, like, how good do you feel about yourself at the end of the day? Cause I wouldn't feel good about myself to be honest, at the end of the day, if I were tracking hashtags and competitors and jumping on their fresh content to try to. Get visible to their audience like their audience is there for them for a reason they might like something It's not just about the tips.
They provide it could be their personality. It could be their style It could be their convictions. It could be their story. It just doesn't make sense to me As a strategy, quote-unquote, to be piggybacking on someone else's success, like create your success. An example I love in the Instagram growth space is a creator who teaches you how to grow an Instagram Sydney clear studio.
And she has 224, 000 followers and follows zero people. And it's just proof that this is not needed to get followers on Instagram. Okay. And also the accounts that you engage with will influence what so unless you want to log into your social media and just see your competitor's content constantly and be exposed to that competition, I would avoid it as well, because.
That doesn't feel good. That would always make me question my direction, my voice, and my messaging. Oh, damn, that's a good idea. I didn't think of that. It just didn't do me any good. So what I would say is focus on your person, focus on yourself. On following creators and content that makes you feel inspired or triggers your thought leadership.
So maybe it would be, if I'm a career coach, maybe it would be, mental health therapy, personal development accounts, for example, that really interest me, but would also make me think, gosh, how could I translate this into a piece of content that would resonate with my person? So it could be.
Things that make you a better creator, things that make you a better business owner so that you can go to sleep at night with that peace of mind, that you're not trying to piggyback off the success of others to build your success, but you are in integrity doing your own damn thing. That's important.
It's important to me.
[00:22:00] The Futility of Chasing Virality
At least the next thing that I will not be doing to reach the million dollar multiple million dollar revenue mark in my business is chasing virality when it comes to content creation. Now, you see it time and time again, I'm flooded with tips and tricks on Instagram. The best hooks for more views, trending audios, quick before you miss out, hacks to trick the algorithm and crash your watch time.
At the end of the day, I don't know how else to say this, the algorithm is smarter than us let it go. The algorithm is smart. Not this plain linear line plotted out. It is a complex system run by thousands of engineers and data points and AI that we cannot hack. Okay, we're not going to hack our way to business success to multiple million dollars in sales.
Yes, certain hacks, certain tricks, whatever could get us more views here and there. But we all know that more views don't mean more followers and they don't mean more sales. Vanity metrics do not equal sales. Okay. The things that look good on your account. Now of course you need an audience. You do need fresh eyes and new people coming into that audience.
And having bigger numbers certainly doesn't hurt. But we want to make sure that the bigger numbers are aligned. They're your people. They're there for the right reasons. Okay. And I've learned this lesson the hard way in terms of wasting time and energy trying to go viral. Okay. I'm only human myself. I've chased virality, especially early days.
I have jumped onto trending topics that had nothing to do with what I was selling. I have used trending music and done dances that I didn't want to be doing on the internet because that's what reels was all about when it first started. I've even bought a course from a creator on how to go viral using Instagram reels.
And that course was so bad. I can't even explain to you how poor it was. The modules were how to add stickers to your Instagram story. Just like basic things that were completely Googleable. And it just proved to me that no one has the answer. No one has the methodology. No one's cracked the algorithm.
If anyone tells you that they have, they're honestly lying. And a lot of these videos get views because it's something people want. But that doesn't mean that this person has got the answers. A lot of these accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers, teach you how to grow on Instagram.
Have you noticed that? It's just like people want the answer, but these people don't necessarily have the answer. They have a high Volume search volume and are highly engaged with the niche. Okay, because sadly people want to watch the video on Instagram hack. You didn't realise it or whatever. They want the quick and easy.
They want the hacks. And so these people grow these massive accounts but try applying it to your own business. Like it's just not. Going to work for you. Okay, and I've followed these hacks and done the things and Had some success with it and put memes on the page and that kind of thing not to say there's anything against memes I use memes now, but strategically But I can tell you that going viral ain't it like it can water down your audience It can tank your engagement it can catapult how many people are unfollowing your account every day because these weak connections, these loosely interested connections are coming into your audience.
So chasing virality and trying to win this game of the hacks, the gimmicks, the trends, it's exhausting. It's not a long-term strategy. What you need to focus on instead is empathy marketing, and strong messaging. Marketing and messaging and content that makes people think, wow, they get it. It's speaking to the people's frustrations, desires, and interests.
That's going to increase your watch time. That's going to have people sticking around for longer. And then that's going to get the algorithm pushing out your content to more similar people. Okay. It's about loving the people who currently follow you and treating them like gold. Because when you treat people like gold, when you say, Send voice notes.
When you message people and engage and create conversation in the comments, more people will engage. They'll take notice. The algorithm will take notice and they'll share your account with more people. It comes back to the fundamentals. Okay. And those are the principles that are tried and true.
And those are the principles that result in far more sales, which is what we're interested in as business owners. Over things like views and looking good online, but our bank account is empty. Another thing that I will no longer be doing, I making a mistake once, I've learned my lesson, and I'm moving on.
[00:27:06] Investing in Coaches: Lessons Learned
As a multiple seven-figure business owner am investing in a coach purely based on their financial success. Is financial success exciting? Of course, it is, right? Like when I tell you that I've made three million dollars online following my purpose in the last five years, that must be exciting. That's exciting to hear, right?
And I know it is because I'm excited when I hire my business mentors and I'm looking at other people online. I'm like, wow, they did it. I can do it too. This is so cool. This whole new world of possibilities, of course, financial success is exciting, but do you appreciate the way I do it? I do it though, because I, for example, educate and I create content that helps people.
And I'm very into purpose-driven businesses. There are a lot of things you will not catch me doing in business, right? And there are a lot of things that I do to make my business work. For example, showing up on social media. So if you don't want to do that ever, then I'm not the coach for you because that's the way that I like to build businesses that feel good and feel values aligned with me.
So money is one thing, but there are many ways to make hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars online. You don't have to do it my way, and you certainly don't have to do it their way, whoever they may be. And what I did is I invested 30, 000 into a coach. Because they were making 2 million us dollars per year without launching and that spoke to me.
I thought to myself, gosh, I wouldn't mind stopping, always going from one launch to the next, that feast and famine cycle of making 150 K one month and then 30 K the next and then a hundred K and then, because I was launching, not launching, not launching. I was like, I do want to make evergreen passive sales.
That is something that I want to achieve. So I was like, cool. And the financial side of things. Hooked me in it's sexy, right? Of course, it's sexy. And so I invest 30, 000 into this program. It was 12 months long and it taught me how to set up essentially an evergreen funnel for one program. I could meet with support coaches every few weeks, but the actual founder, the actual coach, the actual person, they only showed up once per month for the 12 months and they didn't even speak to you.
They just presented a slide deck on Zoom. You couldn't even. Use your voice, like use the microphone to ask questions, like you were chatting and they had a slide deck and they would have three minutes at the end for some Q and A's and pick one or two easy questions. So that's a lot of money for that kind of experience, right?
But I was like, this person's so successful and I want this person. To have success like that, okay? What I didn't take the time to do was understand this person's psyche, understand their mentality, understand their methodology. They speak a lot about their results and their outcome, but not how they got it.
And what I realised in the program is that I would have to use a lot of what's called bro marketing. Buy now for 500 off and, we've got five spots left. It's okay if you genuinely have five spots left, but often people don't. Okay. It's about using these fake deadlines, false urgency, these posts like, I'm looking for five women looking to change their life, DM me today that kind of cold calling that we spoke about, those cold DMs, using DM scripts, and also just these arbitrary rules you have to follow.
For example, when you presented your program. You had to value stack it 10 times what it was worth. So for example, if my coaching program was 2, 000, I had to prove that the coaching time with me, plus bonus one, bonus two, bonus three la added up to 20, 000. And I love a good bonus stack because it is true that the value we provide is often worth so much more than the price that we charge.
That makes total sense. But the rule of 10 X, like it's quite hard. When you're selling, a 200 resume course, for example, trying to explain that it's worth 2, 000, it's it's quite a lot to stack, or a 2, 000 course going up to 20, 000. And that was the rule. And the thing is that if you didn't follow the rules of the program, then the support coaches wouldn't help you because they're like you haven't implemented everything exactly how we do it.
You had to follow every single step of our process. And so it put me in a position where I was having to do things that I wasn't super comfortable with. The program itself was also problematic. There were outdated materials and slides. A lot of tech was outdated. They said they recommended tech that was expensive and clunky.
You had to find your own Facebook ads manager. They didn't help you with that. And yet it was a core part of the program. Like if your funnel's not working, you need to run ads. Kind of thing. It was just. Anyway, I don't want to go on about it too much because I did learn a lot, and there are a lot of lessons to be learned from any investment you make, I did become a better, savvier entrepreneur thanks to this program in a lot of ways, okay?
However, this person overall, 'd become lazy, I didn't like their approach, And to be fair, I think that they had this immense success that I kept hopping on about in the golden era of the Facebook ads where the cost per click was so low. And this is why I'm always going to be a bit wary of big characters like Amy Porterfield and Jenna Kutcher, like as much as I respect them.
And I, I listened to their podcasts and things like that. When I was getting started, it did make me think. A lot of that success happened in the golden era when there was no Zero competition. Facebook ads were so cheap. The algorithms were so generous. You've got to be a bit wary about how the success happened and when it happened as well.
And whenever I had questions for the support coaches, I felt like I just got generic answers. If you need more traffic, give the masterclass another two months and then try again. And You can see how 12 months pass when it's try this for three more months, tweak this for two months, see what happens.
It was just any way. My lesson here is there is not just one way to experience success. Don't blindly follow someone's path and don't get tricked into thinking because they made money in one specific way that you have to make money like that, that's the only way to make money. You need to ask yourself, do you see yourself enjoying running a similar business model to them?
Do you feel a sense of trust and integrity? Around them do you resonate with their story and their way and are they open-minded as well? Are they saying this is one way you must do it or are they open to adapting and guiding you through it? So for example, I will always promote private coaching first at least beta clients before you go to a group coaching model because I truly believe that you need to have understood multiple different individuals and multiple different stories before you can scale back to the point where you don't need to support people as much for them to get results because the materials and the course materials and the trainings and whatever do the heavy lifting for you to be able to create those trainings that do the heavy lifting.
You need to understand multiple different types of people. Now that is my conviction. However, certain clients have come to me and said, Hey, I have this corporate experience. I've done this before and I've tried this before. Can I go straight to group? And we talk about the pros and cons of that, the risks and the rewards and we make it happen, right?
I'm open to their way. Absolutely. We can adapt things to a certain extent. However, they know my truth and I know my convictions on my ideal flow. Okay, so I will never though say to them, no, you have to do it this way. Otherwise, you won't see results because that's not true. There are multiple different ways to get results.
So you've got to make sure that it's not based on money alone.
Just as a bonus tip, please beware of any coach whose first business was business coaching. That is a massive red flag for me. If you have not built your own successful business before becoming a business coach, massive red flag. Personal opinion, but that's what it is.
[00:35:38] Avoiding Get-Rich-Quick Schemes
Okay, now the final thing that you won't see me doing To make good money online to run my business online is buying into any get-rich-quick schemes.
You see them on social media all the time. I made a million dollars using affiliate marketing. I make a hundred K per month and I don't show my face with my seven-dollar guide. All of that kind of stuff. Okay, look, at external platforms like the Amazon affiliate program. It can get taken away anytime. Any second and then your whole livelihood crashes and burns faceless brand accounts selling 7 guides that were made on chat GPT The audience is going to fatigue from them No one's going to be paying money for that kind of generic Googleable information in the very short term future Faceless accounts are having their time in the sun right now But honestly how long for I don't think social media is going in the direction Of less connection.
People want more connection, more realness, more face-to-camera, and more conversation. So there are just things that are okay, there might be this temporary time in the sun, but it's not a sustainable business. Okay. And it reminds me of people adding yet another small digital product, that 20 guides, that 49 guides, whatever to their businesses.
They're giving these people these big promises at a very low level. And then confused as to why people won't pay them 1, 500 for their proper signature offer. And it's because you're making this promise that the problem can be solved in 15, not 1, 500. So there's this mentality around do it the easy way, do it the fast way.
Whereas in reality, business is like skincare. People want the chemical peel. They want the laser treatment. They want the vampire facial. That's going to fix everything in just one shot. They pay 800 bucks and it's done. But you'd get so much further using a little bit of sunscreen every single day.
And when you're trying to chase these shiny objects, these get rich quick, get money coming in fast. For me, it's just a lot of procrastination and distraction from doing the actual work. Because you still have a massive learning curve. And you're still spending a lot of time creating content and doing the thing.
Okay. And it's still feeling like, 0. 1 percent of people make that kind of money off the back of these tiny products. Okay. What you need to focus on is the strong niche, the messaging, the strong brand and voice, the loyal audience, and the solution-driven transformational offer that helps people who have them.
Saying this is some of the best money I've ever spent my life. This was amazing. Okay. Smart sales systems, the content machine, that's the work and it's long term and it takes time, but then you've got this asset. That's why I was able to go from not even French to Badass Careers to Badass Empires and have people follow me and have.
The money comes in and goes from strength to strength and success to success. It's because I had the personal brand. It's because I had the asset of my knowledge and my skills. The trust I had built and many different arenas came with me every time. That's what it takes. It's not about chasing these cheap, quick, dirty schemes that are going to last for about two months before they don't work anymore.
And another bonus tip, never gets sucked into the scheme of master resale rights. I won't go into it in full detail, but essentially people are like, I'm making so much money online, buy my course. And what you do is you buy this course. And then that course is yours. To sell on. So you're like, I make money online.
And you're selling that course that you just took. It's just really multi-level marketing vibes and just it. Okay. So steer clear of any of that. It's not going to get you anywhere.
